King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

On August 29, 2013, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard played an electrifying set at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne. This live recording came just after they released their debut album, '12 Bar Bruise,' in 2013, showcasing their unique blend of psychedelic rock and garage influences. At this stage, the band was beginning to cultivate their eclectic sound, which would lead to their later, more ambitious projects. Interestingly, their prolific nature means that this early performance foreshadowed their rapid evolution, as they would later go on to release five albums in 2017 alone! This show highlights their energy and excitement in their early career, laying the groundwork for their reputation as one of the most innovative bands of their generation.
