Iron Maiden

In March 1981, Iron Maiden was riding a wave of growing popularity, having just released their second studio album, "Killers," in 1981. This album showed a shift in their sound, thanks to the arrival of vocalist Bruce Dickinson, who had joined a year earlier. The recording of 'Wrathchild' during their performance on the Italian TV show Discoring captures the early raw energy of the band as they explored heavier soundscapes and complex melodies. Interestingly, although this performance was lip-synced, it was a pivotal moment that showcased Iron Maiden's stage presence and charisma, elements that would become trademarks in their evolution. The band's relentless touring and energetic performances laid the groundwork for their eventual status as heavy metal legends.
