Iron Maiden

In December 1998, Iron Maiden performed in Buenos Aires, marking the last show for vocalist Blaze Bayley, which added a poignant note to the event. This concert wrapped up the Virtual XI World Tour, following the release of the album "Virtual XI" in 1998, an album that, while it showcased the band’s continual evolution, received a mixed reaction from fans and critics alike. Interestingly, this show took place at Estadio Vélez Sarsfield, and despite a less-than-stellar reception, it represented a significant moment in Maiden's history, as it was the end of one chapter and the eventual beginning of another. Iron Maiden had already turned the corner in their iconic career, and this live performance highlighted the challenges they faced during this period, especially with Bayley's tenure being met with mixed emotions.
