At the time of the live recording "Been Away Too Long" at Electric Lady Studios for SiriusXM's Town Hall series, Soundgarden was experiencing a significant resurgence in their career. This album was their first new music in over 16 years, marking their return after a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997. Interestingly, the event was hosted by Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, highlighting the respect and camaraderie shared between contemporaneous rock bands.
