Sonic Youth

In July 1993, Sonic Youth delivered a memorable performance of "100%" at the Phoenix Festival, held at Long Marston Airfield in Stratford-upon-Avon. This live recording came shortly after the release of their critically acclaimed album, "Goo," which debuted in 1990, and just a year before they released "Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star" in 1994. By this time, the band was already hailed as pioneers of alternative rock, pushing boundaries with their sound. What’s particularly intriguing about this performance is the song "100%" itself, which is a poignant tribute to the late Kurt Cobain, showing how intertwined the worlds of these iconic artists were during the early '90s.
