Sonic Youth

In the spring of 1996, Sonic Youth was riding the wave of their critically acclaimed album "Goo," released back in 1990, and fresh off the heels of "Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star," which dropped just a couple of years earlier in 1994. By that time, the band had fully embraced their signature blend of noise rock and melodic invention, pushing boundaries while maintaining a strong underground following. The live set featured in 'Starfield Road Live' showcases not only the band's energetic dynamics but also their evolution as artists willing to experiment with sound and structure. One interesting tidbit: this concert was part of their tour promoting 'Goo' and highlighted their growing influence on the alternative rock scene widely regarded as radical for its time.
