The Doors

On August 3, 1968, The Doors performed live at the Cleveland Public Auditorium, right during their rise to iconic status. This concert fell between the release of their third studio album, 'Waiting for the Sun,' and their fourth, 'The Soft Parade.' Interestingly, 'Waiting for the Sun' had debuted just a few months earlier, in July 1968, showcasing hits like 'Hello, I Love You.' By this time, The Doors had already solidified their reputation for electrifying live shows, characterized by Jim Morrison's magnetic stage presence and the band's experimental sound. It's also noteworthy that this performance came just months after the turbulent backdrop of the 1968 Chicago Democratic National Convention, making their music resonate with the political unrest of the time.
