In February 2017, Journey delivered a stunning performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, reviving the spirit of their classic sound that still resonates with fans today. Just prior to this live recording, they had released 'Eclipse' in 2011, marking an evolution in their sound with more rock-centric and darker themes. This concert was a part of their 'Escape + Frontiers' tour, celebrating the band's rich catalog while showcasing their ability to captivate live audiences. The band’s lead singer, Arnel Pineda, who joined Journey in 2007, continued to impress with his dynamic stage presence and vocal range. It's fascinating to see how, despite the years and changes in lineup, the band managed to keep the original magic alive, reminding us all why hits like 'Faithfully' are timeless classics.
