Weezer

In July 2019, Weezer performed "Buddy Holly" at the Bilbao bbk Live festival, a highlight during their extensive touring following the release of their album "Weezer (Black Album)" earlier that year. This album showcased a more mature sound with influences from pop and hip hop, straying from their usual alt-rock roots. It was exciting to hear their classic hits like "Buddy Holly" reimagined on stage, connecting their past with the present. Interestingly, the performance took place in Spain, showcasing their international appeal and the band's ability to draw crowds worldwide, even after more than two decades in the music scene. Having hit the music scene in the '90s, Weezer remains a beloved staple, continually engaging both new fans and long-time followers.
