In May 2015, ZZ Top was four decades deep into their illustrious career, having first burst onto the music scene in the early '70s. Before this live recording, they had released their latest studio album, "La Futura," in 2012. This album, known for its fusion of classic rock with modern elements, was their first in nearly a decade and showcased a return to their blues roots, making it particularly noteworthy for longtime fans. By the time of the Swiss concert, ZZ Top had solidified their status as rock legends, celebrated for their dynamic stage presence and distinctive sound marked by Billy Gibbons' signature guitar riffs and the unmistakable rhythm section of Dusty Hill and Frank Beard. The band’s live performances during this period continued to draw enthusiastic crowds, showcasing both classic hits and newer material, embodying the spirit of rock and roll even after all these years.
