In February 2017, ZZ Top delivered an electrifying performance in Orlando, Florida, which marked a vibrant period in their storied career. Just a couple of years prior, the iconic band had released their album "La Futura" in 2012, showcasing their signature blend of Texas blues and rock 'n' roll. This album was a return to form, featuring tracks like "I Gotsta Get Paid" that resonated with both old fans and newcomers. Interestingly, during the live recording, the energy in the room was palpable, and you can almost feel how long these guys have been at it—over 45 years! With their trademark beards and killer riffs, ZZ Top proved their legacy remains strong, blending classic hits with newer material, all while engaging a crowd that perhaps experienced them for the first time. It’s a testament to their enduring appeal and musical prowess.
