Sting

On September 4, 1991, Sting performed "Mad About You" live on David Letterman's show, a slice of his solo career following the success of his album "...Nothing Like the Sun" released in 1987. At this time, Sting was riding a wave of commercial success and artistic recognition, blending rock with jazz influences. The live recording showcased his smooth vocals and dynamic stage presence, reflective of his well-established artistry. Interestingly, just prior to this performance, Sting had released 'The Soul Cages' in January 1991, a more introspective album inspired by personal themes and deep emotions.
