Sting

In the lead-up to the live session at KCSN on August 31, 2016, Sting had just released his album '57th & 9th' in November 2016, marking his first rock album in over a decade. This album was a return to his roots, embracing a more upbeat, vibrant sound, influenced by rock and new wave. It was during this vibrant phase of his career that Sting decided to showcase some of this fresh material at the Valley Performing Arts Center. Interestingly, this live performance not only celebrated his new music but also featured classic hits that fans had come to love, reflecting his remarkable career evolution. Sting's ability to blend personal anecdotes with music in such an intimate setting allows audiences to connect deeply with both his stories and sound.
