Bloc Party

In June 2013, when Bloc Party performed at the Best Kept Secret Festival, they had recently released their fourth studio album, "Four," which came out in August 2012. This album marked a return to their post-punk roots and saw a slight shift in their sonic approach, blending elements of their earlier work with newer influences. During the live recording, Bloc Party's lineup was altered due to the absence of drummer Matt Tong, who had been a core member since the band's inception. Sarah Jones, known for her work with New Young Pony Club and as a touring drummer for Hot Chip, filled in for him during this performance, adding a unique dynamic to their stage presence. This performance captured a pivotal point in Bloc Party's career, as they were navigating changes within the band while still delivering high-energy shows that showcased their evolution as artists.
