Pulp

In July 1991, Pulp was on the brink of a major shift in their musical journey, with the live recording of "Death II" capturing their evolution during an exhilarating performance at the Town and Country Club in London. Just prior to this, they released the album "Separations" in 1991, which, while not their most commercially successful, marked a significant transition in their sound towards a more polished and thoughtful style. This live performance embodies the raw energy and emerging style that would soon lead to their breakthrough album, "His 'n' Hers" in 1994. Interestingly, frontman Jarvis Cocker's witty storytelling and unique stage presence were already beginning to resonate with audiences, foreshadowing the acclaim that would follow.
