Joe Cocker

In October 1980, Joe Cocker delivered an electrifying performance in Berlin, showcasing his soulful vocals and dynamic stage presence. Leading up to this live recording, Cocker had released his album "Joe Cocker" in 1986, which included the powerful hit "You Are So Beautiful." Interestingly, by the time of this performance at the Metropol, Cocker was experiencing a resurgence in popularity, thanks in part to his memorable appearance at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the relentless energy he brought to every show. His band for this performance featured notable musicians, including lead guitarist Cliff Goodwin and backing vocalists Maxine Greene and Ann Lang, adding depth to the live experience.
