Before their electrifying live performance on September 17, 2022, at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer, Iowa, Grand Funk Railroad had been on an impressive comeback trail, celebrating the legacy of their classic rock roots. This show was part of their 'Some Kind of Wonderful' tour, named after the hit single from their 1975 album, 'Caught in the Act,' a live recording that captures their raw energy and charisma. Interestingly, this period also marked their resurgence in popularity with a mix of old favorites and newer material, showcasing their ability to connect with both long-time fans and new audiences. Moreover, the tour celebrated the band's enduring spirit; it’s hard to believe they’ve been making music for over five decades!
