Oasis

In December 1997, Oasis was riding high on the waves of their hugely successful album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" which had been released in 1995, anchoring them as one of the defining bands of the Britpop era. By the time of their live performance at the Greater Manchester Exhibition Centre, they had not only solidified their status in the UK but were also making significant inroads internationally. This recording showcases their energetic style and the raw charisma of frontman Liam Gallagher, who was notorious for his brash yet charming persona. Interestingly, this concert came at a pivotal moment when tensions within the band were starting to simmer, foreshadowing future challenges. The live album "...There and Then," released later in 1998, drew heavily from this period, capturing the heights of their live performances and fan fervor.
