My Bloody Valentine

On March 5, 1990, My Bloody Valentine performed a notable live set at the ULU in London. This album marked a significant evolution in their sound, blending noise pop and shoegaze elements, which would influence countless artists in the years to come. The live recording showcases tracks from this album, including the ethereal "I Only Said" and the heavy yet melodic "Soon." This performance occurred during a pivotal phase when My Bloody Valentine was gaining critical acclaim and beginning to establish a dedicated fanbase. Interestingly, the band's use of innovative guitar techniques and atmospheric soundscapes during this time set the stage for their highly influential 1991 album, *Loveless*, which would further define the shoegaze genre.
