This pivotal record saw the band reconnecting with their Britpop roots while innovating their sound. During the performance at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, their energy was palpable, with hits like "Lyla" and "The Importance of Being Idle" reverberating through the venue. Interestingly, this live show came during a time of turmoil for the band, as their internal dynamics were often tumultuous, yet they continued to deliver powerful live performances. Notably, this period also marked the emergence of new songwriting talents within the band, particularly from guitarist Gem Archer, integrating fresh perspectives into their traditional Oasis vibe. So, although Liam's voice may show signs of wear in this recording, the band's spirit and sonic identity remained vibrant.
