Wings

On May 12, 1973, Paul McCartney and Wings performed a thrilling live show at the New Theatre in Oxford as part of their UK Tour. This gig came on the heels of their third studio album, 'Band on the Run,' which would be released later that year. At this point in their career, Wings was gaining significant momentum, shifting from their earlier, somewhat experimental sound to more polished, commercially appealing tracks. It's interesting to note that even before the album's release, some songs from 'Band on the Run,' like 'Bluebird,' were already part of their live sets. During this period, Wings also began to establish themselves more as a cohesive band rather than just a McCartney-led project, showcasing their versatility and the chemistry between the members on stage.
