Jane’s Addiction

In July 2016, Jane's Addiction took the stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, performing their iconic hit "Been Caught Stealing." By this time, the band had released their last studio album, "The Great Escape Artist," in 2011. This album showed a more mature sound, blending alternative rock with electronic elements—quite a shift from their gritty, early days. Performing at such a monumental festival brought them back to the spotlight, showcasing their enduring influence in the music scene. Interestingly, Lollapalooza itself was co-founded by frontman Perry Farrell in 1991, establishing a legacy that linked the band’s identity to the festival’s spirit. This live rendition not only captures the raw energy of their performance but also highlights how far they've come since the days of their gritty debut, while still keeping that unmistakable Jane’s Addiction flavor alive.
