In late 1966, Cream was in a decisive moment of their career, having just released their debut album, "Fresh Cream," which marked a groundbreaking fusion of blues, rock, and psychedelia. This innovative sound laid the groundwork for their explosive live performances. Although the video "Steppin Out - Live in Stockholm 1967" features a recording from November 30, 1966, just before their rise to international acclaim, it beautifully captures their raw energy and musical prowess. Featuring Eric Clapton's searing guitar riffs, Jack Bruce's dynamic bass lines, and Ginger Baker's powerful drumming, this performance highlights the band's chemistry. Interestingly, Cream became one of the first supergroups, combining established talents from bands like The Yardbirds and The Graham Bond Organization, which only added to the excitement surrounding their live shows.
