Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath Live Performance in Berlin Germany

Date: December 16, 1985

In December 1985, Jethro Tull took to the stage in Berlin to celebrate the 300th anniversary of J.S. Bach's birth. By this time, the band had already carved out a unique niche in the rock world, blending progressive sounds with folk influences. Just prior to this live performance, they released the album 'Crest of a Knave' in 1987, which marked a significant return to form, showcasing Ian Anderson's signature flute alongside hard-hitting rock rhythms. Interestingly, 'Crest of a Knave' would go on to win the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, highlighting Tull's ability to evolve and adapt within the music scene. The Berlin concert not only celebrated Bach but also signified Tull's dedication to musical diversity, highlighting their enduring legacy during that era.
