Black Flag

As of the live recording on April 8, 2023, at The Cornerstone in Berkeley, Black Flag was in a significant phase of their career, performing with a lineup featuring founding guitarist Greg Ginn alongside vocalist Mike Vallely, bassist Harley Duggan, and drummer Charles Wiley. Prior to this performance, the band had released "What The..." in 2013, marking their first studio album in over two decades. This return signified a reconnection to their punk roots while also exploring new sounds. The choice to perform "My War" in full at the concert highlights the band's enduring legacy and their willingness to revisit pivotal works from their discography. Additionally, Black Flag has remained influential in the punk scene, showcasing their resilience and ability to draw crowds decades after their inception, which is evident in the enthusiasm from fans during live shows.
