In March 2014, during their performance at the El Korah Shriners in Boise, Built to Spill was in a transitional phase, having just revealed new material intended for their upcoming album, "Untethered Moon." This live recording highlights the band's long-standing tradition of covering songs, showcasing their eclectic influences and musicianship. Built to Spill had established a reputation not only for original compositions but also for their unique interpretations of other artists' works, which they embraced during Treefort Festival that year. Notably, "Untethered Moon," which would be released in 2015, marked a return for the band after a five-year hiatus, illustrating their ongoing evolution and resilience in the indie rock scene. This performance exemplifies their connection to both their existing discography and their exploration of new creative avenues.
