On October 29, 1995, Prince and The New Power Generation performed a live set at Paisley Park Studios, and this concert came right on the heels of his album "The Gold Experience," which was released in 1995. Interestingly, by this time, Prince was also known for his burgeoning independence – he had recently adopted the unpronounceable symbol as his name, reflecting his quest for artistic freedom.
