Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes perform Ten Years Gone at Jones Beach Amphitheater
On July 10, 2000, The Black Crowes teamed up with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page for a landmark performance at the Jones Beach Amphitheater in New York. At this point in their career, the band had just released "Lions" in 2001, a record that marked a stylistic evolution, blending rock with a more Southern influence. Interestingly, this collaboration with Page came just after their 1999 tour, which was all about celebrating their classic hits and exploring new material. The chemistry between Chris Robinson’s soulful vocals and Page’s iconic guitar work was electric, reviving classic Led Zeppelin tracks, which was a special treat for fans. This concert was more than just a live recording; it symbolized a blending of past and present, showcasing the Crowes' enduring appeal and Page's rock royalty status.
