Modest Mouse

Before the live recording at The Forum in Inglewood on July 27, 2016, Modest Mouse had released their sixth studio album, 'Strangers to Ourselves,' in March 2015. This marked their return after a significant hiatus, which had fans eager and excited for new music. The album received mixed reviews but featured tracks that showcased their classic indie rock sound laced with new experimental elements. An interesting tidbit is that 'Strangers to Ourselves' included the single 'Lampshades on Fire,' which became one of their most recognizable songs post-comeback. By the time of this live performance, the band had re-established themselves and was ready to showcase both new work and beloved classics, reminding fans why they fell in love with Modest Mouse in the first place.
