Modest Mouse

In April 2013, when Modest Mouse performed "The View" at Coachella, the band was riding a wave of anticipation with their then-upcoming album "Strangers to Ourselves," set to be released in 2015. Their last full-length studio project before that, "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank," had dropped back in 2007, making this performance a special treat for fans who had been eagerly awaiting new material. Coachella, known for its eclectic lineup, was the perfect stage for Modest Mouse's signature blend of alternative rock and idiosyncratic lyrics, giving the audience a taste of their evolving sound. This performance also marked their return to the festival since last playing there in 2004, showcasing the band's enduring legacy in the indie music scene.
