The Lemonheads

In May 1987, The Lemonheads performed at T.T. the Bear's Place in Cambridge, Massachusetts, during an all-ages benefit concert. This was just a year after their self-titled debut album dropped in 1986. The band was still in its early stages, mixing punk and pop influences, establishing their sound amidst the burgeoning alternative rock scene. Notably, this period marked the band's transition from a local act to gaining broader recognition, setting the stage for their later successes. They had a camaraderie with local bands like Bullet Lavolta, enhancing the neighborhood's music culture.
