Violent Femmes

In the summer of 2018, Violent Femmes graced the Arroyo Secco festival stage with their lively rendition of 'Black Girls.' This performance came during an exciting phase for the band, right after the release of their 2016 album, 'Hotel Last Resort.' This album marked a significant return, seeing them blend their classic folk-punk sound with contemporary influences. Interestingly, the band has enjoyed a cult following since their self-titled debut in 1983, which helped shape the alternative rock scene. Their energetic live shows, like the one captured here, are celebrated for a mix of nostalgia and fresh vigor, drawing fans across generations, proving that the Femmes can still deliver a punch decades down the line.
