In June 2016, Violent Femmes showcased their timeless energy during a performance at the Celebrate Brooklyn Festival. By this point in their career, the band was enjoying a well-deserved resurgence after releasing their 2016 album, "We Can Do Anything." This was their first studio album since 2000, marking a fresh chapter for the band. Interestingly, during this live set, frontman Gordon Gano performed the beloved classic "All I Want," highlighting their ability to blend nostalgia with a vibrant present. Notable for featuring a guest violinist, this performance wasn't just a celebration of past hits but also a nod to their evolving musical style, capturing the excitement of their dedicated fan base and the passion that fuelled their return to the stage.
