Violent Femmes

On July 22, 2017, the Violent Femmes took the stage at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri, delivering a vibrant performance of their hit 'Gone Daddy Gone.' By this time, the band had already cultivated a legacy since their debut album in 1983, blending folk punk and alternative rock styles in a way that resonated deeply with fans. Leading up to this live recording, they released their album 'We Can Do Anything' in 2016, marking a return to the studio after a lengthy hiatus. Interestingly, the band saw a surge in popularity from their early hits and steadfast touring, which has kept their music alive with both new and longtime fans. The July show was part of a tour celebrating their enduring impact on the indie music scene, showcasing their unique sound that’s both raw and intimate, yet powerful.
