Violent Femmes

In June 2018, Violent Femmes delivered a riveting performance of "Prove My Love/Promise" at the Red Butte Garden in Salt Lake City. By this point in their career, the band was celebrating their deep-rooted legacy in the alternative rock scene, particularly known for their self-titled debut album released back in 1983, which became a classic. Interestingly, this live recording came out after the release of their 2016 album, "We Can Do Anything," which showcased their ability to evolve while staying true to their raw, energetic sound. The duo of Gordon Gano and Brian Ritchie, the founding members, have always embraced spontaneity, making their live shows a unique experience filled with anecdotes and onstage improvisations. This performance not only reignited nostalgia for long-time fans but also introduced their infectious sound to new audiences.
