Guided by Voices

On June 18, 1994, Guided by Voices performed live at Stache's in Columbus, Ohio, a pivotal moment during the band's prolific early years. Just before this performance, they released 'Propeller' in 1992, which marked a breakthrough in their career, setting the stage for their subsequent album 'Bee Thousand' in 1994. Interestingly, 'Bee Thousand' is often celebrated as one of their greatest works, a landmark in lo-fi recording that embraced a DIY aesthetic. This live performance, therefore, captures the band at a crucial point, just before they gained wider recognition, highlighting the creativity and exuberance that would come to define Guided by Voices.
