Guided by Voices

In July 2012, Guided by Voices delivered an electrifying performance of 'Shocker In Gloomtown' at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia. This concert came shortly after the band released their critically acclaimed album 'Let’s Go Eat the Factory' in January of that same year, marking their first album after a lengthy hiatus. Fans were stoked to see the lineup performing vintage tracks mixed with new material. The live setting added a rich, raw energy, a hallmark of GBV shows that has captured audiences for decades. Interestingly, the band’s penchant for lo-fi sound and prolific songwriting can be traced back to their early 1990s roots, making this performance a delightful blend of nostalgia and fresh creativity.
