Guided by Voices

On August 28, 2021, Guided by Voices performed live at the Athenaeum Theatre in Columbus, a notable return to the stage after the pandemic disruptions. Prior to this, they released 'Earth Man Blues' in April 2021, a raw yet engaging album that showcased their signature lo-fi sound and penchant for catchy melodies. The album was well-received, highlighting the band’s ability to remain relevant and innovative even after decades in the music scene. This live recording captures the vibrant energy of their performance, allowing fans to experience the band’s distinct charm and undeniable chemistry on stage. An interesting tidbit is that despite the passage of time, founding member Robert Pollard continues to write and produce prolific amounts of music, proving that the creative spark is still very much alive in GBV's performances.
