Black Sabbath

On June 12, 1999, Black Sabbath delivered a powerful performance at the Coca-Cola Star Lake Amphitheater during the iconic OzzFest tour. At this point in their career, they were celebrating a long and tumultuous journey since their formation in the late '60s. Before this live recording, the band had released their reunion album, 'Reunion,' in 1998, which brought back original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. This album featured live performances and a couple of new tracks, marking a significant return for the legendary group. Notably, the OzzFest festival became a breeding ground for both emerging and established metal bands, cementing Black Sabbath's status as the forefathers of heavy metal. Their Burgettstown performance stands as a testament to their lasting impact on music, as they thrilled audiences with classics like 'Iron Man' and 'Paranoid.'
