Billy Joel

However, it was during the period leading up to and immediately following the live performance at the Mar Y Sol Festival on April 2, 1973, that his musical journey took a significant turn. Notably, this performance came shortly after the release of his second album, "Piano Man," which dropped in November 1973. Interestingly, "Piano Man" featured the iconic title track that would become one of his signature songs. Joel's live rendition of "The Letter" showcases his raw talent and the energy he brought to his early performances, right at the moment when audiences were beginning to take notice.
