Pixies

In May 2014, Pixies performed a live set at Primavera Sound, showcasing their significant return to the scene following their reunion in 2004. By this time, they had released "Indie Cindy" in April 2014, which was their first full-length album comprised of new material since their hiatus. This album marked a notable shift as it included songs written by Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering alongside new member Paz Lenchantin, who joined after the departure of Kim Deal. The 2014 Primavera performance encapsulated their evolution, blending classic hits like "Wave of Mutilation" and "Gouge Away" with fresh tracks from "Indie Cindy," illustrating not only their enduring legacy in the alternative rock scene but also their willingness to adapt and grow as a band.
