Interestingly, "Backspacer" was notable for being released through the band's own label, Monkeywrench Records, illustrating their commitment to artistic independence. The Hyde Park performance occurred during their extensive tour, which celebrated their enduring legacy and showcased their ability to captivate large audiences. This concert also came at a time when Pearl Jam was being recognized more than ever for their influence on rock music, underlined by their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just a few years prior in 2017.
