In July 2017, Galactic performed "Chasing Rainbows" live at the High Sierra Music Festival, capturing the essence of their vibrant sound that's deeply rooted in New Orleans funk. Just before this recording, they released their album "Into the Deep" in 2015, featuring collaborations with various artists that highlighted their evolving style and willingness to experiment. This live performance showcased their energetic stage presence and rich musicality, drawing a lively crowd that was eager to groove. Interestingly, Galactic often blends genres, and this show reflected that unique dynamism, seamlessly integrating funk, jazz, and a little rock into their setlist.
