On March 30, 1990, Galaxie 500 performed live at Club Lingerie in Hollywood, CA, capturing a vibrant moment in their career right after the release of their sophomore album, "On Fire," in 1989. At this point, the trio—comprised of Dean Wareham, Naomi Yang, and Damon Krukowski—was gaining recognition for their dreamy, lo-fi sound that blended elements of indie rock with a hauntingly ethereal quality. In the setlist for this concert, they covered tracks from influential artists, including Joy Division's "Ceremony" and Red Krayola's "Victory Garden," showcasing their eclectic musical influences. Interestingly, this period marked a creative high, but shortly after this performance, the band's dynamic would change, leading to their eventual split in 1991. This live recording serves as a nostalgic snapshot of an era defined by both artistic exploration and the band's growing fanbase.
