Atlas Sound

On February 19, 2008, Atlas Sound, the solo project of Bradford Cox from Deerhunter, graced the intimate stage of The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta. This live recording comes right on the heels of his debut album, 'Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel,' which dropped just a year earlier in 2007. Cox's interplay of lo-fi sounds and ethereal melodies marked a significant transition in his career, showcasing his unique artistry outside of Deerhunter. During this performance, the audience was treated to 'Bite Marks,' a track that captures his raw and introspective songwriting style. Interestingly, even in this early phase of his solo project, the seeds of the experimental sound that would later define his works were abundantly clear, giving fans a glimpse into his creative evolution.
