Surfer Blood

By June 2015, Surfer Blood found themselves at an interesting juncture in their career. They had just released their third studio album, '1000 Palms,' which came out in May that same year, showcasing a return to their DIY roots. This album was recorded in the cozy surroundings of drummer Tyler Schwarz's parents' living room, a significant pivot from their previous studio-produced work. Performing 'Point of No Return' live on KCRW offered fans a glimpse of the raw energy and authenticity they aimed to recapture. The performance not only highlighted their growth as a band but also their determination to embrace a more organic sound.
