Grateful Dead

On October 18, 1983, during the Grateful Dead’s performance at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine, the band was in the midst of a prolific touring period. At this time, they had recently released their studio album "In the Dark" in 1987, which marked a major commercial success for the band and included the hit "Touch of Grey." Interestingly, by the time of this concert, the band was well-known for their live performances and improvisational style, which attracted a dedicated fan base, often referred to as "Deadheads." The setlist from this show reflects their eclectic repertoire, ranging from classics like "Jack Straw" and "Me and My Uncle" to newer compositions, showcasing their blend of rock, folk, and improvisational jazz elements.
