In July 2000, when Yes performed at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, they were deep into their "Masterworks" tour. Prior to this live recording, the band had released the album *The Ladder* in 1999, which was a significant return to their progressive rock roots after venturing into different styles in the ’90s.
