Widespread Panic

Widespread Panic was riding high in their career around the time of the August 21, 2009, live recording of "Tall Boy" at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden. Just a year before this performance, they released their studio album "Free Somehow" in 2008, which not only showcases their continued musical evolution but also features a blend of rock, funk, and Southern jam influences that fans love. The band had developed a loyal following, partly due to their jam-oriented live shows that could stretch songs into explorative musical journeys. It’s fun to think that "Tall Boy," which they often played live, harks back to their 1999 album "Night of Joy." This recording captures the band’s signature improvisation style, and considering they were well into their third decade as a band, the vibe was electrifying. What a treat it must’ve been for those lucky enough to catch that performance!
