Widespread Panic

At Mountain Jam 2013, Widespread Panic took the stage on June 7th and delivered a memorable rendition of "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys," originally by Traffic. By this time, the band had recently released their studio album, "Wood," in 2010, which showcased their signature blend of rock, blues, and improvisational elements. Just a couple of years before this live recording, Widespread Panic had experienced a lineup change when they welcomed guitarist Jimmy Herring, who brought a fresh energy to their performances. This cover not only highlights their diverse musical influences but also reflects their ability to pay homage to classic tracks while infusing their unique style. It's a gorgeous example of how live jams can echo the essence of both the original artist and the improvisational spirit that defines Widespread Panic.
